My niece Lucinda has informed me that the Orphanage has a three-week old male child, and I have indicated to her that I have found a wizarding family to adopt this child. I shall collect the child tonight, and if one of you is willing to assist me, we may be able to give the child to the halfblood mother tonight and have an article in the papers by tomorrow.

In addition, Bellatrix shall be doing the Dark Lord's work of forming a counseling service for those women who have lost children in the war. While Narcissa would be preferable for the job, it is work that is more suiting of Bellatrix than many of the tasks she prefers.

Demetrius, take two other Death Eaters and a few DMLE officers to Mrs. Malfoy's Foundation Centre to conduct an "investigation" into this Quibbler article. Officially, you will be be conducting this investigation to ensure citizen's safety despite the unreliability of the Quibbler. You will find nothing out of the ordinary indicating any sort of arranged pregnancy.

Mrs. Malfoy will provide a list of all women with terminated pregnancies. These women need to be watched, and if they attempt to speak out, they must be silenced.

It has come to my attention that a number of those in our society are unable to read, as this seems to be the only plausible explanation for their failure to follow orders. Given that these orders are to make up for a past failure, I can see no other reason but illiteracy for them to have failed.

For this reason, I am inquiring to see if you two would be amiable to teaching a few gentlemen how to read. Misters Carrow, Montague, Karkaroff, and Gibbon in particular, though I do believe there may be a few more. It may also be beneficial to teach them how to apologise, as they seem to be sorely lacking in that area as well.

I am more than displeased with the recent turn of events. The masses are getting unruly due to the vigilantes. Between this recent attack, the Quibbler and their WWN interference, we are losing the firm hold we once had. While we had intended fear to quiet them with the Longbottom display, it is clear that has only caused unrest and questioning of our "democratic" government.

I am beginning to believe the time for tact is passing and that the best solution is simply to give up this pretense of a democratic government. Their words will no longer be effective and the fear will be powerful once more when we acknowledge that this democracy is all a farce. The people have no control, only the Dark Lord.

I have been made privy today to the most disturbing of news. I will preface this by saying that while I have nothing but the utmost respect for women and their struggles as wives, mothers and home-makers, I do believe that a serious misstep has been taken when we abandon the very morals we have been fighting for. Shall we continue down this path, turning away from the ideas that are the very foundation of a proper society and effectively make all our sacrifices for naught? Shall we shame our family members, our friends who have died at the hands of these barbarians? Have you forgotten Cygnus, Alcander, Evan, Georgina, Regulus, Leoben, and Alecto?

To turn on our own, Widow Meliflua and Mrs. Mulciber, is counterproductive to all we fight for. To insinuate that a man, and a man in the Dark Lord's service no less, should defer to women and learn his place, is an aberration and a flaw in character that must be immediately corrected before it effectively destroys all we stand for.

Quite some time ago "Comrade" Karkaroff approached me inquiring into the possibility of a mentorship change, being prompted by my remarks on Iago's dedication and request for the younger Death Eaters to better themselves. I was recently reminded of this while drinking a most vile vodka today, and while I do not appreciate the slight on Antonin, I also do believe there may be some wisdom in a reassignment - I believe he has been for too long in his comfort zone with Antonin and would do well to learn not only his place but to shed his dirty Russian habits and learn more respectable and British ways.

While I have had more pressing matters to attend to than this matter with Sturgis Podmore, I shall investigate this week and you shall hear from me when I do.

While I am more than pleased with so many of the improvements that have been made to our great nation since I have taken office, I must admit I am simply giddy with excitement over this Wizarding Orphanage Commitment of Care and Competence Act and the prospect of the good it will accomplish if passed. Iago is a shining example of a knight in the Dark Lord's service. Not one of the Inner Circle would hesitate to do the same in his situation, and I urge you all to question yourselves and determine if you, too, would have acted in a similar manner. For those of you who would not have been able to do what Iago did, I urge you to inform your mentor so you may train harder and soon reach that same level of dedication.

I have received a finger in a box in the post today. As both Atticus and Rodolphus have received similar post (though not in front of their young children, as I had), I would like to know who else has received such a package?

The time, I believe, for us to contemplate our options, has passed. A plan must be made and carried out posthaste. First and foremost, we need a list of the captors. This is Scrimgeour's group of former DMLE officials (the so-called "Army of Albion") and not the former vigilante group, though I am unclear as to if the two groups have combined since the beginning of the year. We need a list, which should not be too difficult to acquire from the current DMLE and then I believe it would be wise to see which of them have family we may use as our own leverage.

This, I believe, should buy us time to plan our own offensive, if that is what we shall be doing.

Thoughts? Time is of the essence, so we must think and act quickly.

There is a great possibility you shall be called upon shortly. I would suggest you do nothing to incapacitate yourself (alcohol, Warrington) and do not overexert yourselves for the next few days. Do not stay up too late and make sure you are not lacking sleep. When you are called upon, we expect you in peak condition and those who are not shall be punished severely.
